This year brought me some truly happy news — and the joy was doubled.

Astronautas was honored among the winners of the Fundación Cuatrogatos award, and I feel deeply grateful for that recognition. It means a great deal to me that this book, born from imagination, wonder, distance, and the mystery of meeting one another under the same sky, has been singled out in this way.

And the happiness grew even more because Kanghuru was also included among the Foundation’s recommended books. That made this moment feel even more special to me.

Each year, Fundación Cuatrogatos does important work by reading, selecting, and celebrating outstanding books for children and young readers in Spanish. To have these two books recognized in the same year is a beautiful honor, and a joyful encouragement to keep writing.
